UCR or GIMC?

Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) and Georgia Intrastate Motor Carrier (GIMC) filing these is our governments way of knowing how many CMVs are on our roads.

  • If you are registered as Interstate, traveling in other states you must file a UCR.

    If you are registered as Intrastate, only traveling in your home state you must file a GIMC.

  • You are required to renew and update your filing annually by December 31st.

  • ***Fees for UCR are subject to change every year, below are the fees as of January 1, 2025

    101-1000 $4,592.00

    1001 + $44.836.00

    *** Fees for GIMC will not change

    $5.00 per CMV if paid on time

    $25.00 per CMV if paid after December 31st

  • Depending on the state, first-time offenders may pay anywhere from $100 to $5,000 in fines.
